Simply Sushi :D

May 06

Last night my main man Sebastian and I went to Simply Sushi on Jetty Road for dinner….and I have to say it was better that I thought it would be…!
I’m not really a sushi person, or a japanese food person (too much fish for me….) but I do like the hot dishes Japanese restuarants serve like okonomiyaki etc…so off we went to dinner :D

This is a view of the sushi train…I’ve never been to one before so I was really excited :D
We chose seats near where the chefs were making all the sushi and putting it onto the train, It was so awesome to watch…!

Sebastian ordered warm sake, but I didn’t like it :( So he ended up drinking it all during dinner (Which meant I had to drive home :S)

This is “Oyako-Don” which is chicken and omelete with onions and rice…..OM NOM NOM!!
I ordered this because I had it once in Japan and I havent been able to find it anywhere since :( Not even in Chinatown which is suprising!
Oh yeah, it also had capsicum which I dont like but it was easy enough to pick out and avoid :D ………..

Sebastian had already nom-ed on 4 salmon nigiri-zushi by the time my dinner arrived and he had another 4 by the end of dinner! (Oh yeah, It’s 2 of each to a plate so he ate his way through 4 plates!!)

It’s time for my favourite part of dinner……DESSERT TIME!!! Yay!!! *cheers, dances around lounge room ignoring strange looks from my male house-mates….*

The picture on the top left is cake filled with caramel mousse with a choc-top and it was nom :)
This was the only one I tried, I let Sebastian have the others like the awesome girlfriend I am….

The one on the right is lemon cheesecake and Sebastian says it was good too, the top was kind of meringue-y….

And the last one on the bottom is a mini vanilla custard filled cake *Yucky Face* I’m glad I didn’t have that one….

So that was our Simply Sushi dinner, I think it was good value but Sebastian says that it was overpriced…at $5 for the most expensive plates I think it was reasonable….Sebastian says that the sushi is almost as good as what he had in Taiwan!

After that we thought we would go for a stroll to Gloria Jeans for coffee, I was a bit naughty and got another bit of dessert: A chocolate brownie :D

The girl who worked there asked me if I wanted it heated, I agreed but she overheated and burnt it :( I tried to eat it but it was icky since it was burnt *Cries*

But other than that the night was great! :D :D :D

Oh Yeeeeeeeeah just gonna throw in a random photo of our kitten whose name I’m still not happy with…..She’s been called ‘Kitty’, ‘Pepsi’ and ‘Simba’ and I just don’t like any of them :’(
So she is now ‘Buffy’ and that is how it’s going to stay!
ALSO we are thinking of getting her a baby sister when we get back from our holiday next week YAY!! :D

It’s a kitten in a box! She’s fragile……the sticker says so!!
