The Hunt To Find The Best Chinese Food In Adelaide!

Welcome to the first in a 5 part series!

This is my way of trying to include Sebastian more :heart:

He loves Chinese food, probably because of all the time he’s spent eating it in China! :tongue: So I thought we could go out to different Chinese restaurants and he will rate them for us  :biggrin:

Today’s restaurant is BBQ City! I used to walk past here all the time when I went to the markets as a kid, but I never ate there until this CNY!

They have BBQ ducks in the window….(Sorry about the horrible photo!)

Drink time! I had the Coopers pale, Sebastian and Jase just had Cokes….

Finally onto the food!

Sebastian started with satay beef sticks…..(I apologise, it doesn’t look too appetising!)

Sebastian rating: 1/10
“They were too chewy and didn’t taste like beef”

After the beef, he had steamed vegetable dumplings.

Sebastian rating: 2/10
“They had tofu in them, I should have chosen the pork ones….”
(Personally I liked them, I couldn’t even taste the tofu…)

Jase had BBQ ribs

Jase rating: 7/10
“Not a lot of meat on them but the BBQ glaze made up for that!!”

I had curry vegetables and rice

Neena rating: 8/10
“It was delicious, but more sauce would have been nice….”

Dessert time! We went across the street to Gelatissimo, I had raspberry and Jase had chocolate truffle.

They even had Vegemite flavour! It was a special flavour for Australia day…. :pouty:

So that was BBQ City on Grote Street in Adelaide.
Maybe it wasn’t the best, but it can only get better right? I just wish I’d done this about the night we went there during CNY, it was heaps better then
