Jan 01
Happy New Year everyone!
Hope you all made resolutions to stick to, I made a whole list you can check out here if you want!
You may notice Ramblings of a Girl looks a little different! I’ve spent the last week tinkering behind the scenes and would like to give a big shout out to Monnie for helping me get the theme and checking things out before I relaunched, also for making my header (which is 587 times better than the one I made…)!
New features include a new blogroll, an FAQ and a Holy Grail list so please check them out…..but onto the post….
Instead of a December favourites, here’s my top 11 of 2011 (I originally got the idea from Dempeaux)
First up is MAC Green Gel Cleanser, which I have been using for about 3 months are have barely made a dent in it.
Face of Australia Translucent Powder** My everyday setting powder.
Lush Calacas Shower Jelly, has lasted at least a month and has a great lemony scent.
Benefit Remove It Make Up Remover is great for when you just want to get your makeup off in one swipe
Australis Paparazzi Perfect High Definition Eyeshadow in Totally Busted** I love the orange/peach shade in this, and have nearly hit pan…
EOS Sphere in Strawberry Sorbet has been used so much the dome is pretty much flat.
MAC Fix+ I keep this in the fridge and spray it on my face on hot days…(Or any day really)
Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturiser SPF15** is my everyday moisturiser that I mention quite a lot…
Hard Candy Glamofluage in Light covers *everything* if it’s blended properly
Face of Australia Colour Pro nail polish in Aussie Night is my go to top coat
What are your top products of 2011?

I love the new layout!!!
I would love to write a blog in reply to this, however I bought a package that only allows me to have 1 URL and I think atravellinggirl.com and beauty products would be a weird mix, so I’m just gonna do it as a comment!
My top 11 products are:
1.Blistex Lip Medex – burns a little when I put it on, but once a day and my lips a soft and smooth, normal lipbalms and vaseline I need to reapply every 2 or 3 hours or my lips crack!
2.Lancome ink artliner – Goes on black, and stays black until I take it off, often 20 hours later
3.MAC eye shadow GOLDMINE – great eye shadow for daytime or a base colour, with a primer it lasts all day
4.Maybelline Volum’ Express The Falsies waterproof – Makes my eyelashes look unbelievable, the waterproof version lasts all day as well
5.Clinique Superbalance Makeup – with a primer and a setting powder I get a flawless look, which is saying something considering I have acne!
6.Clinique liquid face soap mild – The only cleanser that helps control my acne without being harsh on the skin
7.E45 Emollient Bath oil – Makes my skin super soft!!! I couldn’t live without this!
8. Lancome Visionnaire – I bought this super expensive cream while I was feeling depressed about my pot holed, wrinkly skin. It makes me break out if I use it daily, so I only use it once or twice a week. However the wrinkles on my forehead, and the fine lines around my lips and eyes have disappeared, and the potholes on my face have become smaller.
9.LUSH Shampoo bar Squeaky Green – This shampoo is one of the VERY FEW that doesn’t give me dandruff. The more you use it, the better your hair gets, I now wash my hair once every 7 – 10 days which makes my hair look so much nicer! I have been using the same bar for about 7 months, so it lasts and is worth the money!
10.LUSH solid conditioner Jungle – This feels odd, its very different to conditioners out of a bottle, but when it is teamed with a lush shampoo bar you don’t want it to be super conditioning otherwise your hair will just end up greasy and flat.
11.Sanctuary Spa Covent Garden Body Scrub – I love this brand!! The body scrub is sooooo good, makes my skin feel super smooth and moisturised. Love it! love it! love it!!!
Yay! I do like this theme
