Launch: Clinique Almost Lipstick in Shy Honey

When I read about the Almost Lipsticks in an email from Cliniuqe, I was really excited! I’m not one for super bright opaque lipsticks, and I prefer glosses and balms anyway so…

Shy Honey is a new shade, I want to say it’s being released with the upcoming Almost Spring collection but I’m not 100% sure (I’ll check and edit back if I’m wrong…!)

The colour in the tube is a bright hot pink although when applied it’s super sheer and build-able; I tried to take a photo of my lips before and after applying to show you but my camera freaked out and wouldn’t get the colours right :’( But here they are anyway

You can (vaguely) see how the tone of my lips has been evened out in the top photo compared to the bottom and they have that “My lips but better” look about them.

The day after I got this in the mail, I took it to work with me and I just couldn’t stop applying it! It’s such a smooth application, and clumsy people (like me) don’t have to worry about getting any smudging outside their lip line.
The only problem I’ve really noticed is that after awhile the slanted tip starts to get a bit thin near the top, and breaks of easily but this can be remedied by just turning the stick around a bit to even out usage.
